What is Ad Account?

An Ad Account is a business management tool that enables advertisers to create advertisements, run ad campaigns, make payments, and access data and analytics for insights.

Therefore, an Ad Account is essential If there is a violation of Meta’s policies, it may result in restrictions on the use of the Ad Account, which can impact online marketing activities and business operations.

The main common reasons that lead to advertisers’ ad accounts being restricted include:

1. Violating Content such as personal attributes, nationalities, religions, before-after images, excessively cropped or zoom images, nonexistent functionality such as a video player button that cannot click on it, and unrealistic outcomes.

2. Evading Enforcement such as utilizing images or texts that are uncertain to indicate the type of advertisement or the product or service being promoted, in order to prevent the the inspection from Meta.

3. Using unrealistic accounts, fake information, or multiple Facebook accounts, including unreliable accounts to create pages and advertisements.

4. Associated with previously closed accounts or linked to accounts with inappropriate usage. Most of advertisers tend to create new pages or accounts, so when they are investigated and found to be associated, their pages may be continuously closed.

1. Unable to use or manage Ad Manager.

2. Unable to create new ads, and all currently running ads will be immediately deactivated.

3. Unable to use personal advertising accounts and target groups.

Steps to take if your Ad Account is restricted:

1. Go to “Account Quality” https://www.facebook.com/accountquality to check if Ad Account has been restricted or not.

2. Select the “Account Issue” or “Account Status Overview” tab, and click on the restricted assets. Check if it has violated any policies or not.
